About Anthony Maso
Why did I choose architecture? In some ways, I feel like it chose me.
I have always been around construction and home building. The direct relationship was how a house was built- the many stages of construction involved, the different trades needed, the on-site planning, and the time necessary for construction. I was also intrigued by the indirect relationship- Who was the house being built for? What factors, besides price, determine the layout, look, and size of the house? Why does the house look like the neighbor’s house and did they consider other options? Architecture seemed like the logical way to tie together the direct and indirect relationships of the building process.
I graduated from Philadelphia University (now Thomas Jefferson University) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture. A semester of that time was spent at the American University of Rome.
Since graduating, I have worked almost entirely in residential construction as working with individual home owners has been my preference. Helping individual home owners achieve their goals for their ideal, even dream, home is the process I have always been involved with.
I am currently a licensed architect in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and California. Being licensed in most other states is achieved through reciprocity, so I also have the ability to be licensed in other states.
