This is a home is in Palm Springs, CA that was originally built in 1963 by the Alexander Construction Company. The new Owner was looking for a home in Palm Springs and couldn’t pass up a property with these kinds of views and the opportunity to make the home unique to him. The entire existing home was gutted and completely renovated. The Master Suite is an addition, as well as the pool and hot tub. All of the rooms facing the Rear Yard have large sliding glass doors so that the Rear Yard space serves as an extension of the interior spaces. The renovated home has 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, a home work space, common areas are the Kitchen, Dining Area, and Living Room, and there is a 2 car garage. Solar panels were also added as part of the renovation.

The overall feature that I like best about this home is that the exterior spaces are not an after-thought to the interior layout of the home. When the doors and windows at the back of the home are opened up, the Rear Yard becomes an extension to the interior of the home- which allows occupants to enjoy the Southern California climate and the amazing mountain views from the property.
